We applied all of our experience – especially our understanding of the hospitality and lodging industry – to create a publishing innovation called REST MAGAZINE.
We began by pulling together two emerging trends – the lifestyle of the ‘upscale global nomad’ (people who love business and pleasure travel) and the demand for boutique hotels, restaurants and other upscale amenities and products.
Then we came up with new publishing concepts like the ‘anti-cover’ – it’s a cover, but not like any magazine cover you’ve ever seen, ‘book style’ layouts for features, and a strong ‘full-page push’ for ads and advertorials. We also reintroduced the lost art of photojournalism with dazzling images and a first-person personal writing style. REST MAGAZINE is a fresh new source for informative, authoritative and credible information for a very special niche audience. And the accolades from hospitality and lodging professionals has ranged from single syllable interjections (WOW) to long exhortations to feature their own hotel or restaurant.



WollnerStudios named, designed and produced the magazine for W2B Publishing LLC based in Los Angeles, CA. The magazine was unveiled during the 2008 Lodging Conference held in Scottsdale, AZ in September to much appreciation. Michael Wollner was a speaker and WollnerStudios a sponsor for the event.
