Color and Aroma
Start a magazine from scratch? No problem. That's what Ray, our resident publisher, said when Brandon Beeson called us last summer.
Brandon's company, OC Grapevine, had been exploring the possibility of launching an upscale wine and lifestyle publication for about a year. Ray conducted the initial market feasibility studies and constructed revenue forecasting, fee structure, and even wrote their total media kit (specifications, insertion order, even the credit application).
That's when Michael and the rest of the team joined in – creating a unique name for the publication and generating original art for the cover, page templates, the editorial schedule for the first issue – our writing team also wrote every feature article and column.

The end result was a classy 80-page, perfect bound book that absolutely blew away the client and many other publishers. The first issue was so good that one printer told us that they had never seen a ‘first issue' publication that was as well done as ours.
OC Grapevine has retained WollnerStudios to publish successive issues of the magazine, but by all accounts, we were successful with our first and major job – creating a unique and viable marketing product for our client.
